Violence erupted and gunshots spree on Thursday at the old parade ground in Abuja as the Convention Planing Committee (CPC) of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) began accreditation of Students Union Presidents and representative across the country.
AMILOADED gathered that some suspected cultists at the convention group distorted the peace of the ongoing accreditation.
It was gathered that the suspected cultists caused havoc during the accreditation of Students Union Presidents under NANS Zone B and Zone D.
It was further gathered that violence started when operatives of the Department Of State Security (DSS) stormed the venue of the convention to ensure normalcy when some suspected cultists started to cause havoc.
As at the press time of filing the report, students have fled from the venue of the convention while security men and suspected cultists were seen shooting several guns.
