Aapoly Student union President resigns over embezzlement

The student union president of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Ijebu igbo, Ogun state, Ibrahim Lawal has resigned following the allegations levelled against him which was later discovered to be true.

Ibrahim Lawal was accused of embezzling funds and mismanagement of union dues paid by students into the union account.

Students who spoke to campus life revealed that the statement of account was later collected from the bank and was told to resign after his executives noticed certain unusual withdrawals.

Ibrahim who agreed to have embezzled funds equally confessed to have forged the General Secretary signature to make withdrawals.

In a recorded conversation between the Ibrahim and the General Secretary, he confessed to have forged the general Secretary signature to make withdrawals without the notice of his executives.

Ibrahim Lawal is said to have embezzled more that three hundred thousand naira as no specific figure as been reached.

Ibrahim Lawal tendered his resignation letter on Friday after a meeting held with the Rector, prof Bilesanmi Awoderu.

Students who spoke to campus life expressed disappointments and called his actions a criminal act which can have him arrested and jailed.
