The Deputy Governor of the state of Osun, Iya-Afin Titi Laoye Tomori has again raised the glorious banner of excellence for which the state has become famous in Nigeria and beyond.
Over the weekend, she was crowned the best deputy governor in Nigeria for the year 2017.
The award was given by the Lagos based Independent Newspapers in recognition of the quality of contributions towards the ground-breaking policy thrusts and achievements that the Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola led APC government has been accomplishing since 2010.
In celebrating the award, the APC congratulated the Deputy Governor for what the party described as 'her absolute commitment and loyalty to the Governor, the party and government which has earned her and the state the highest possible recognition a deputy governor could get'.
In a statement from the party's Directorate of Publicity, Research and Strategy, signed by its Director, Kunle Oyatomi and made available to the media today in Osogbo, the APC said that the deputy governor over the years has carved a niche for herself as a paragon of loyalty to and cooperation with her governor in a Nigerian political atmosphere where disagreement between a governor and a deputy is rampant.
'She deserves all the accolade she can get as a deputy governor of substance.
'Regardless of what critics and the opposition may think or say, Iya-Afin Tomori's achievements are irreversible for the records and it Is a permanent monument for the state and people of Osun.
'Iya Afin, the people of Osun are proud of you', the APC said.
